Plastic Workshop for Kids - Turning Ocean Waste into Creativity
One of the core pillars of VeganFest is sustainability. This year, we’re proud to partner with the Kids4Kids Market and Odyssey Innovation Ltd to bring you a unique and hands-on Plastic Workshop designed especially for kids.
We kick things off on Saturday 18 April with a beach cleanup at Għajn Tuffieħa, where we’ll be collecting microplastics from the sand with the help of “Scuttle the Cuttle” — a fun, all-in-one beach cleaning toy that kids absolutely love! What makes it extra special? Scuttle the Cuttle is made from salvaged microplastics from Malta’s beaches.
After the cleanup, we’ll bring the collected microplastics back to VeganFest and transform them in a creative “Trash to Treasure” workshop. Kids will discover how to turn ocean waste into beautiful, useful, and artistic creations. The workshop will be open on both days, runs continuously throughout the event and is suitable for children of all ages! Just drop in, bring your imagination and join us into turning plastic pollution into something positive and fun!
